Each fall I hold an open house at our home in Constantine, Michigan. My wife Suzanne and I own five wooded acres on the Saint Joseph River, and we enjoy using this location as a backdrop for my pottery. This fall, my open house will be on Saturday, September 29 from 10:00 to 5:00, and for the first time, it will be part of the larger Michiana Pottery Tour.
Our region has many talented and diverse potters, and this year we decided to join together to open our studios and showcase our wares on the same day. Joining me at my home will be potters Dick Lehman, Todd Pletcher, and Tom and Jeff Unzicker. Dick, Todd, and I will also fire my wood kiln prior to the open house and then open the kiln on the day of the tour. You\'ll get to have \"first looks\" of our most recent work right along with us.
